National Training and Reskilling Scheme (NTRS)
The NTRS is a national programme which caters for the training and reskilling of unemployed persons. Eligible candidates will benefit from a monthly stipend of up to Rs 10,575.
Under the NTRS, the MITD will be providing training in different key sectors. Eligible candidates are invited to apply for the following courses starting in February 2022.

- Full-Time: Monday to Friday as from 08h00
- Part-Time: Weekdays as from 15h00 & Saturdays as from 08h00
- Dual mode: 1 to2 days per week at the MITD and 3 to 4 days practical training at the workplace.
Age: Minimum 16 years old except for:
(i) Beauty Care, Hairdressing, Nail Technician, Basic Food Production & Basic Restaurant and Bar Services – minimum 17 years old
(ii) NC 3 in Care for Elderly and Disabled – minimum 18 years old
Entry requirements: Grade 9 (Form 3) or*, except for the following programs:
- Draughtsmanship / National Certificate Level 5 in Business Process Services: Grade 11 (SC/GCE ‘O’ Level) with pass in Mathematics and must be computer literate or*
- Basic Course in Masonry, Rendering and Tiling / Basic Course in Bar Bending and Steel Fixing / Basic Course in Carpentry for Formwork and Shuttering / Basic Course in Housekeeping and Public Area Cleaning Techniques: Studied up to Grade 6 (CPE) or*
- CNC Machining Techniques: Studied up to Grade 10 (Form 4) or*
* An equivalent qualification acceptable to the MITD
