Revised Stipend for Employability Enhancement Programmes

Revised Stipends under Employability Enhancement Programmes
The public is hereby informed that the stipends payable under the Employability Enhancement Programmes (EEPs) implemented by the Ministry of Labour and Industrial Relations have been reviewed with effect from 01 July 2026 and are as follows:
- Youth Employment Programme (YEP):

For placement in the private sector, the Government refunds to participating employers 50% of the stipend while for placement in the public sector, the full amount of the stipend is met by the Government.
- Women Back to Work Programme (WBTWP):
The all-inclusive stipend has been increased from Rs 10,575 to Rs 15,000 monthly for participants on placement and from Rs 10,575 to Rs 15,000 as a one-off stipend payable to trainees upon successful completion of a training programme.
- Trainee Engineer Scheme (TES):
The monthly stipend has been increased from Rs 26,050 to Rs 33,919 for the period 1 July 2026 to 31 December 2026 and Rs 35,840 as from January 2027.
- Training and Placement of Persons with Disabilities Programme:
The monthly stipend has been increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 with an additional amount of Rs 1,000 as transport allowance.
