Service To Mauritius Programme
REPUBLIC OF MAURITIUS MINISTRY OF FINANCE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SERVICE TO MAURITIUS PROGRAMME
Applications are invited from University graduates, postgraduates including PhDs from outside the service, who wish to be enlisted as Interns to serve the Government under the “Service to Mauritius (STM) Programme” for a period of two years, which may be renewed for one additional year, subject to satisfactory performance, in the following scarcity areas in the Civil Service:
A.Information and Communication Technology/Innovation
• Web design
• Network Engineering
• IT with Forensics Cyber Law and Cyber Crime
• Systems Engineering.
B.Other Emerging Sectors
• Marine Sciences/Oceanography/Ocean Management Sciences and Engineering
• Aquaculture
• Bio-security/Food Safety
• Biomedical Science
• Forensic Science
• Botany • Environmental Studies
• Ocean Disaster Prevention/Protection/Disaster
• Innovation and Entrepreneurship Management
C.Engineering/Green Economy/Project Management
• Green Architecture
• Land Surveying
• Renewable Energy
• Quantity Surveying Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
• Project Planning and Management
• BOT/PPP Management
• Risk Management
D. Inclusive Development
• Speech Therapy/Audiology/Physiotherapy/Early Child Development/Adult Development
• Psychology
E.Economics/Finance/Law
• Econometrics
• Macro-modelling
• Forensic Accounting/Auditing
• Statistics
• LLB/LLM/Public or International Law/ International Relations, International Trade.
- QUALIFICATIONS
A university degree with at least an upper second division (UK system) or equivalent (e.g a 3.2 GPA from a US University) from an accredited University.
Note: The latest undergraduate or postgraduate qualification (excluding PhDs) should have been obtained within five years from the date of advertisement.
- DUTIES AND TASKS
To work on specific terms of reference with agreed performance indicators and deliverables of specific outputs related to Government Projects and Programmes in the priority/ scarcity areas.

- ALLOWANCE
Interns enlisted under the “Service to Mauritius (STM) Programme” will be paid a fixed all inclusive monthly allowance subject to satisfactory performance as follows: -
