|Duties of Job
1.Hair cutting techniques – scissor cutting, razor cutting, long hair trimming, short hair cutting
2.Hair styling techniques – blowdrying, braiding, iron waving/curling, permanents, extensions, twisting, locking, relaxing, spiking, pin curling, roller setting
3.Hair colour techniques – bleach, dyes/tints, streaking/highlights
4.Related skills – analyze hair & scalp conditions and provide basic treatments; provide advice on beauty care treatments for scalp & hair, clean & style wigs and hair pieces
5.Additional skills – shampoo customers’ hair, supervise other hairstylists and staff, supervise apprentices/students, perform receptionist duties, work together as a team to keep the salon neat and presentable
-Styling hair, cutting hair, coloring hair, barber cuts and styles, Up Do’s
-Working as a team to keep the salon clean and presentable
|Other Skills / Competencies
Age Limit: Ideally in the age range of 19 to 40 years, but qualified and experienced hairdressers above this age but who are fashion forward may also be considered.
Certificate of Character: Selected candidates will be required to submit a Certificate of Character to be able to apply for the Canadian temporary work visa
Salary : 50% commission of service sales, or a guaranteed hourly rate, whichever is higher. Hourly rate is dependent on city placement but range is from Canadian $15.00 to $20.00
